Logistics Manager
The Canada Open Karate Championships organizing committee is looking to fill the key role of Logistics Manager for the upcoming inaugural event (June 4th, 2017).
Are you someone (or do you know someone) who loves organizing the details behind the scene leading up to events, and then making sure they are executed efficiently and effectively during the event? Are you detail oriented and task driven?
Events are all about a “million moving parts”, and the Logistics Manager is key to the success of bringing all of these pieces together. The main duties of this position include working with the Tournament Committee to organize all logistical components leading up to the event, participate in committee planning, and finally ensure successful execution of the event by being the on-site manager at the Richmond Oval throughout the event weekend (Friday, June 2nd to Monday, June 4th).
This position includes a $1200 honorarium for this inaugural year of the event.
Interested and have what it takes? If so, please send your application of 1-page or less briefly explaining your tournament logistic organizing skills and experience plus 2 related references to canadaopen@karatebc.org (Attn: Organizing Committee).
An appropriate candidate will be interviewed and selected by Friday, March 31.
Please note that there is an option for a 1 to 2 year extension to this position based on a successful event.
