The 2019 Provincial Karate Championships will be held this November 30-December 1, 2019, at the Richmond Olympic Oval in Richmond, BC. This provincial event brings together athletes from across the province and expects to draw large crowds as the province’s best talent takes to the rings.

Parking: The following map HERE indicates areas of available parking at and around the Richmond Oval. Please note the FREE parking is at the City Works Yard for the Saturday and Sunday only! Parking at the Oval is NOT guaranteed, and at busy times can be full, so please plan to arrive early to locate an alternate spot if the Oval parking is full.

Registration Notes:
- Club instructors may register a club team along with 3 coaches, or athletes may register individually if their club
has not organized a team. - NOTE: Within the karate competition categories of kata, team kata, kumite, and kobudo at the Provincial Championships, an athlete may choose to compete in either a recreational (non-elite) division or elite division within any one competition category, but they may NOT register to compete in both an elite and a non-elite division within the same competition category.
- NEW! Receive $5 off your first division entry if you can provide a volunteer for the event!
- Payment is made through the online registration system.
Registration Deadline: November 17th, 2019! - No check-in: Athletes/coaches are required to confirm their events via Karate BC website and report any errors to Karate BC. immediately!

NOTE: Division changes AFTER your registration has been completed will be charged at $20 up to the close of online registration (November 17, 2019). After this date, ANY division changes will be charged at $40 until the Division change close of November 22nd.

Weigh-In (Elite Divisions Only):
All competitors in Elite divisions at the Karate BC Provincial Championships, in all age categories (12yrs to Seniors) are required to weigh-in before their competition. All weigh-ins will be done at the Richmond Olympic Oval. Weigh-in times are:
- Saturday, November 30th: 8:30am – 9:30am
- Saturday November 30th: 3:00pm – 6:00pm (After this time period the coaches will do weigh-in when they have time)
- Sunday December 1st: 8:00am – 8:30am
This is only for elite athletes participating in Kumite on Sunday, December 1st, at the Provincials. There will be no weigh-in for non-elite athletes.

NOTE: Kumite divisions may be split when there is a large number of entrants. Separate medals will be awarded for each sub-division.
