Are you hoping to qualify for the Karate BC Team and compete at the 2024 Karate Canada National Championships in Laval, Québec?
To be eligible to try out for the BC Team, all athletes (including those with automatic invites to Nationals) must:
- Be a current member of Karate BC in good standing.
- Be able to provide proof of Canadian citizenship by May 18, 2024.
- Have competed at the 2023 Canada Open Karate Championships in the Elite discipline(s) – kata or kumite – (or the Advanced level discipline(s) if you were under 12 at the time) you hope to qualify for the BC Team in, unless you requested and received an exemption from competing at that tournament.
- Register for the Karate BC Team.
- Registration deadline: March 31, 2024

- Register to compete at the 2024 Karate BC Provincial Championships in the Elite category/categories you plan to try out for.
- Early bird registration deadline: Friday, March 8, 2024
- Final registration deadline: Friday, March 22, 2024

- Participate in the 2024 Karate BC Team Selection Tournament.
- Athletes without automatic invitations to the Nationals must compete at this event.
- Athletes with automatic invitations will not compete but are required to assist at this event.

There will be no extensions to the deadlines mentioned above.
