BC Team applicants and instructors:
The following is updated information from Karate Canada:
——————————————————-
Click HERE for a tentative list of the athletes who are currently eligible to be automatically invited to participate in the 2018 National Championships.
Please note:
– This list remains subject to change (according to team roster composition, and to changes in athlete ranking points due to results at upcoming international events), and its final version will only be available in the month or so preceding the start of the 2018 National Championships (when we open online registration).
– We have attached the eligibility conditions for automatic invitations HERE, as published in July 2017. Please note that for Junior National Team Roster athletes being invited on the basis of their end-of-season ranking (after the upcoming 2017 Cadet & Junior World Championships), Karate Canada will be inviting in addition to the finalists from the 2017 national Championships) the 2 top-ranked athletes from among Junior National Team Roster athletes in good standing at the time of registration to the 2018 National Championships. Consequently, if an athlete who is currently amongst the 2 top-ranked athletes in his/her Junior division fails to abide by Junior National Team Roster requirements (such as mandatory participation in training camps), then the next highest-ranked athlete from that division will be invited in their place, so long as that athlete is him/herself a member in good standing of the Junior National Team Roster at the time of final confirmation of the list of automatically invited athletes (which will be announced at the start of registration for the 2018 National Championships).
Thank you.
Please contact the BC Team Director (see below) promptly should you have any questions, or should you notice anything which you feel may be inaccurate.
