Report By BC Team Head Coach Mike Ditson2004 World Karate Champion, Luis Plumacher from Venezuela conducted a seminar with the Karate BC Provincial Team over the weekend (December 5/6) at the Fortius Centre in Burnaby. More than 100 athletes took part in an amazing weekend as the BC Team prepares for the 2016 National Championships in January.
Sensei Luis was full of energy and totally enjoyed every minute he spent with us. It was easy to see that he is a special human being with a great love for Karate. He is passionate about sharing his experiences and is humble abut his successes. It didn’t take long for everyone to realize that has a special talent. There were many times over the weekend that he would be demonstrating something and even the kata athletes on the other side of the room would just stop and watch in awe.The best part of the weekend is all the new friendships that were created. We look forward to having Sensei Luis in BC again.
