Hello all junior athletes and instructors,
I would like to welcome you all to the 2019 Junior BC Team program. This year has set the highest number of applicants in Karate BC history, and our coaching staff is looking forward to working with all of you soon.
The first event for our Junior BC Team athletes is the Karate BC Provincial Championships December 1/2, 2018.
- The athletes who are trying out for a spot must compete in the elite (BC Team) divisions on Sunday.
- Athletes can register for a different weight division than they applied for on the initial BC Team registration if their weight has changed. NOTE: Please select your division(s) carefully as there is a charge to change divisions once you are registered for the event.
- Earned points (For top 4 finishes) do not transfer to different weight divisions, for example if an athlete competes in the -50kg division at Provincials but grows and needs to compete in the -55kg division at Team Selection, any previously earned points do not transfer to the -55kg division.
- The highest points in each division will be selected for the final BC Team to compete at the National Championships in Edmonton.
