Hello to all BC Team members, club instructors and coaches,
I hope this finds you well and that you are able to be training during these times. It appears we are on the home stretch.
The HPC has recently finalized the upcoming 2021/22 season and since we are in unique times this will indeed be a unique year.
In a poll of the athletes and coaches:
- 84% voted yes (52%) or maybe (32%) to continuing the online seminar series
- 82% voted yes (54%) or maybe (28%) to submitting video of kata/kumite with specific coach/official feedback
- 94% voted yes (84%) or maybe (10%) to BC Team coaches travelling to your dojo/region for in person training camps once restrictions lift
Therefore the following program will be offered:
- April 2021 – September 2021
- 3-4 online sessions (summer off)
- Mix of technical (kata/kumite) and tactical (strength, mental, etc)

COACHING AT NATIONALS (as BC Team staff coach or club coach)
Nationals will be here sooner than we think, please ensure to be taking all the Comp-Dev modules as all are now offered online. The more Comp-Dev certified coaches we have from BC, the more club coaches can attend Nationals. If you need help navigating this, please visit viaSport’s website or contact me.
If you have any questions in regards to the season please reach out. Looking forward to seeing everyone again soon (either online or in person).
