Competition Introduction
The Competition Introduction course is a 2-day workshop that is designed for instructors and coaches who wish to increase their knowledge in the competition stream. The course will take participants through various modules that cover teaching and learning styles, analyzing performance, supporting the competitive experience, tournament formats, performance profiling, mental preparation and nutrition.
Competition Introduction In-Training
- Have completed the Dojo Instructor workshop
Competition Introduction Trained
- Have completed the Competition Introduction 2-day workshop
- Have completed the Make Ethical Decisions training module
Competition Introduction Certified
- Have completed the Competition Introduction 2-day workshop
- Have successfully completed tasks 1-6 of coach portfolio
- Have successfully completed Competition Introduction evaluation
- Have completed the Make Ethical Decisions online evaluation for Competition-Introduction
Or
- Are previously Level 2 Certified or Level 3 Certified

- Dojo Instructors who are interested in developing their ability to analyze movement and provide constructive feedback
- Coaches who wish to coach at Provincial Championships
- Coaches who wish to coach at the BC Winter Games
- Provincial Coaches at National Championships

BC Winter Games – all Zone Head Coaches will be required to be Competition Introduction Certified and Assistant Coaches are required to have Make Ethical Decisions Certification.
