Excitement abounded at the Zone 5 Selection Tournament on Sunday, May 3rd. Athletes were supported by an enthusiastic team of volunteers, officials, friends and relatives. The Zone 5 committee was particularly grateful to the officials who turned out to help and for the abundance of volunteers who took the time to help at the tables, set up, take down, and who performed other various tasks. THANK YOU!
The tournament was action packed. The younger athletes showing remarkable skill and the performance of elite athletes was inspiring. Good luck to all of the Zone 5 athletes who are moving forward to the Provincial selection tournament.
With this tournament, the Zone 5 President’s torch was passed from Bill Holder to Rosella Ng. The Zone 5 community would like to express our thanks to Bill for his many years of service and support.
