Karate BC is proud to host Sensei Javier Mantilla in West Vancouver at the end of April this year. He will conduct seminars on kumite and kata from an athlete/coach/referee perspectives.
Sensei Javier Mantilla is the Chairman of the Pan-American Referee Council and has served as a member of the World Karate-do Federation Referee Council for over 15 years. Sensei Mantilla has had an exceptional career as an athlete on and coach of the Venezuelan National Team and as an international official. He has led the development of sophisticated electronic materials with which to train officials. He is rare in that he understands the value of wearing a gi and working with kata and kumite athletes, coaches and officials on the floor.
