Karate BC is currently looking to fill the role of the BC Team Director for the upcoming 2017-2020 seasons. The BC Team Director will manage and direct the BC Team program for the competitive season, and will be responsible for fulfilling the duties listed below. Details
- 3yr contract – develops long-term continuity (April 2017 to April 2020)
- Yearly performance evaluation post-Nationals by April
- Attends: Canada Open, Provincials, Selections, Nationals
- Compensation: $5000 annually plus travel expenses
Qualifications
- NCCP Comp-Dev certified, or can achieve certification by Nationals 2018
- High-performance coaching experience
- Staff management experience
- Detail oriented
- Excellent communication skills
- Capable of effective pre-event planning & event supervision
Duties
- Performs BC Team gap analysis from year to year & produces annual YTP plan
- Supervision & direction of program from communication to staff management
- BC team registration and Nationals registration
- Team budget supervision, team reporting, coordination with HPC & KBC
- BC Team event coaching staff selection with HPC, then supervision & guidance
