Canada’s delegation returned home from the first WKF Karate 1 Premier League event ever held on the American continent (in Sao Paulo, Brazil, May 30-31) with no less than one gold medal, two bronze medals and 2 top 5 finishes.
Karate BC’s Cindy Jacob also ended up in the top 5 of her division of women’s -68 kg kumite. Derek Chan and Jusleen Virk also competed at the event and all three participated in the Douglas Brose International Training Camp.Canada finished in 3rd place in this event’s overall medal tally.
