This coming Saturday, April 23rd Karate BC will be offering an Official’s Certification Clinic in Langley at the Kim Nik Shotokan Karate Academy. There will be a general discussion of the rules as well as kata and kumite ring practice. The following day at the zone 3 tournament there will be the certification testing. Regional Judge: $ 70 (minimum: 3rd kyu, 14 yrs of age)
Regional Referee: $ 80 (minimum: 3rd kyu, 14 yrs of age)
Provincial Judge: $ 80 (minimum: 1st kyu, 14 yrs of age)
Provincial Referee: $105 (minimum: 1st kyu, 16 yrs of age)
Passport: $ 12 (required for all Officials)
Officials crest and clip: $15
Karate BC Ties: $35

Notes:
- Those outside Zone 3 and/or anyone not seeking certification are welcome to attend.
- Bring your Gi, a copy of the rules and Officials Manual, your questions and pen & paper for notes.
- The newest version of the WKF rules can be downloaded from the Karate BC website HERE. Please familiarize yourself with these rules PRIOR to the clinic.
- Officials Manual can be downloaded from the Karate BC website HERE.
- Official’s passports are mandatory for all officials and will be available at the clinic.
- Please pass this information on to your students.
- In order to maintain your certification, you must attend at least one seminar per year.
