Karate BC is pleased to be hosting an Officials Seminar on April 9, 2022, as an in-person course. This course is open to all Karate BC members and non members.
This in-person course is a seminar as well as preparation for judging the Vancouver Island Karate Championship – April 10, 2022.

12PM – 1PM – break
1PM – 4PM – Kata course

Certification – $20 for Karate BC Members
Minimum Requirements:
- Karate BC Membership
- Provincial Judge C Certification: 3rd kyu, 14 yrs of age
- Provincial Judge B Certification: 3rd kyu, 14 yrs of age
- Provincial Judge A Certification: 1st kyu, 14 yrs of age – Perform one kata from own style

Seminar Participant Instructions:
- An official’s uniform is not required for the clinic, casual wear
- Please study the WKF rules prior to the clinic and be prepared
to discuss - Online officiating exams MUST be completed successfully (passing grade required) prior to course start.
- The clinic conductor will contact you to let you know when the
exams will be completed and provide any required links
Items To Bring:
- Karate gi for kata
- WKF rulebook (can be digital)
- Notebook/Pen and/or tablet/device
- Bring water and/or snacks or lunch
Completion of certification will occur after a successful practical certification test at the next tournament offering this test. The next opportunity for this will be at the Vancouver Island Karate Championship – April 10, 2022.
