Hello to all our Karate BC members!
On behalf of the Executive Board, I would like to thank you for your continued support of Karate BC!
Fall is here, and with the new membership year upon us, we are starting a new initiative with a more regular update from me about what is going on within Karate BC, Karate Canada and the WKF.
Today I would like to share some information with everyone on some recent news that came out of the Karate Canada Summit that was held last month in Toronto (Sept. 26-29th). A strong contingent of Karate BC staff and Board members, as well as some dedicated volunteers, attended the Summit and took part in a variety of teaching seminars and strategic planning sessions.
Perhaps the most significant news to come from the Summit was that, after the 2020 National Championship events (Senior and Junior), Karate Canada will be abandoning the idea of splitting Nationals between a junior event and a senior event, and will once again bring them together into one National Championship event.
Stay tuned for more information updates from myself in the coming weeks, and if you have a question for myself or the Board, please don’t hesitate to contact us!
