West Coast Gojukai would like to invite you to their sixth annual invitational tournament. Entry is restricted to Novice and Intermediate athletes ages 13 and under. Advanced/Black belt athletes are more than welcome to attend and get experience with scorekeeping/timekeeping or officiating.
A new format will be used again for this year’s tournament giving competitors the opportunity to experience age appropriate challenges testing skills leading to top kata and kumite performance. The competitors will have at least 90 minutes of activities – all athletes will compete in sparring activities, however free sparring will be enjoyed by 10/11 and 12/13 year olds. All divisions start at 9:30 AM. There will be a small concession stand available to purchase snacks and drinks.
The goals of this tournament are:
- to give at least 90 minutes of competitive experience to Novice and Intermediate athletes
